TITLE: Executive Director of Economic Development
LOCATION: 618 Harding Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA
JOB SUMMARY: Serves as the leader and manager of agency day to day operations. Coordinate and advise the Board of Directors on necessary activities to increase economic development opportunities within the Baton Rouge North Economic Development District (BRNEDD). Conducts surveys and research economic trends, demographic trends, and public policy related to economic development in order to effectively promote economic opportunities within the Baton Rouge North Economic Development District. Promote current assets and economic opportunities available within the Baton Rouge North Economic Development District through preparation and distribution of information material as well as through interaction with business and other interested parties.
Required Education, Training, Experience, Certificates, and/or Licenses:
SALARY: Starting at $65,000 per year. Salary is negotiable based on advanced education, years of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required Education, Training, Experience, Certificates, and/or Licenses:
- Bachelor’s degree in economic development, public or business administration, marketing, economics or closely related field or related field and minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, and criminal background check.
- Must possess valid Driver's License, with a successful Motor Vehicle Report check.
